KDM—Your Best Brass Worm Gear Manufacturer Choice
KDM’s brass worm gear is a special gear commonly used in mechanical transmission systems with a “worm gear”. Its appearance is like a disk, the teeth are spiral, and it is mostly made of brass.
Our main material is brass, but according to different application requirements, we’ll use different types of brass alloys. These include free-cutting brass, tin brass, manganese brass, aluminum brass, lead-free brass, and high-strength brass.
We are committed to providing high-precision, durable, safe, and reliable brass worm gears. All our products are certified to ISO 9001, RoHS, and ISO 14001 standards. Our strict quality control processes cover every stage from raw material inspection, CNC machining, to final gear testing, ensuring customers receive zero-defect products.

Features
Why KDM has always been at the top of the industry. Check out the following features, then you will find the answer.

Made from high-quality brass alloys, ensuring excellent resistance to friction and long service life.

Provides low-noise transmission and smooth meshing with the worm shaft.

Suitable for precision CNC machining, hobbing, and shaping processes.

Designed for heavy-duty torque transmission with stable performance under load.

Brass material resists rust and oxidation, ideal for humid or corrosive environments.

Available in various module sizes, teeth counts, bore diameters, and surface treatments.

Widely used in gearboxes, reducers, and motor transmission systems.

Can be paired with single-start or multi-start worms in both steel and stainless steel.
How We Process The Brass Worm Gear
At KDM, each brass worm gear undergoes rigorous processes such as turning, hobbing, annealing, grinding, polishing, and measurement. Annealing is done at 450°C~650°C for 30 minutes to 2 hours and then furnace cooled to below 300°C to eliminate internal stress and improve stability. Side grinding and polishing improve the tooth surface to ensure smooth and quiet operation. We use calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to measure with tolerances within 0.01mm. KDM not only manufactures worm gears, but also delivers on its commitment to high performance and reliable quality.
